I don't mean to be offensive, but this was probably one of the most pointless artworks I've ever done. It turned out great, but it didn't teach me anything and was a waste of time in my eyes. This is my subject I chose from the stencil silhouette project and again, it turned out great, but the stencil was such a waste of time. But I also probably have to choose this as well as the artwork I feel reflects me most. I have it currently hanging on the wall of my room in a frame. During the first bit of the process, we made a collage with either newspaper or magazine bits, and I really payed attention to the bits I tore out in my collage so I liked that a lot and didn't want t0 cover it up, but we did use patterned ribbons and other things to change the pattern of the spray paint so that was cool. I proably didn't choose the best subject for my silhouette as the only thing you could really make out in the end was the pot leaf, but that's fine with me.
I think I learned the most from the assignment below. I've always wanted to know how to more realistically draw and shade human faces so this was nice. I didn't like all the things we did to shade correctly because I've never heard of any normal artist doing all those things like with the tracing paper on the window to find the shapes and shades, but then again I'm not an artist so I'm just assuming.
My most favorite project was the light source/shading because I already have experience with shading shapes and whatnot so I think the final product was the best. I'm not typically very confident with my work so I chose the one I think had the best turn out.
This is one piece of art I feel that I used techniques from previous projects from such as blending and shading and perspective.
